Pancake
I see that Crabtree is going to be on the field for 50% of the 49ers plays. I'm sure that he gets 1 or 2 passes thrown his way but I cant imagine him anything more than a decoy. Does this open up more targets for Vernon Davis. I just dont get it. Why are they replacing Morgan with Crabtree when Morgan is their leading WR?
MERLINS
I agree, Morgan is a young talent that should not be sat because of Crabtree. The future, as I see it, for the Niners is Morgan / Crabtree.......so I still think Morgan plays.

Big Mike don't like but he will be opposite Crabtree at some point!
Furd
If he ain't better than Morgan, he ain't much of a decoy.
Pancake
If he ain't better than Morgan, he ain't much of a decoy. Crabtree must be better than Morgan if the coach is replacing Morgan, but Crabtree cant know all the plays or blocking assignments like Morgan. I see the 49ers taking a step back because of this. Less RB runs into the secondary, less YAC for other receivers, less passing yards for Hill. One step back now to accomplish two steps forward in a couple of weeks? Seahawks21
I just dont get it. Why are they replacing Morgan with Crabtree when Morgan is their leading WR? Maybe because they are hoping there is a chance Crabtree is more talented than Morgan? Just a guess. Word is Crabtree looks outstanding in practice. A kid that talented is not just a decoy. Randall
-"When you look at Isaac Bruce, Josh (Morgan) and (Michael) Crabtree, they're all going to play about the same. It just depends on how the game goes and the flow of the game," Singletary said. --Singletary was asked if he's one of the team's best three receivers or is he getting there? "He's getting there. Obviously, you see the talent there. He's going to play that much faster when he gets it," Singletary said. "He's definitely a talented guy, and once the game starts, we'll see how it goes." --"Do I expect him (Crabtree) to make plays? Absolutely. That's why he's playing," Singletary said. http://blog.pressdemocrat.com/49ers/2009/1...ont-travel.html
