bushwacked
Realize that Miami is blowing a lead, but it's rather apparent that the formation is far more than a gimmick that D coordinators will figure out. For all the talk of Tebow not being a NFL worthy QB, how good would he be in such an offense? How good would Jake Locker be in running the Wildcat? For all the talk of Tebow not being a NFL worthy QB, how good would he be in such an offense? How good would Jake Locker be in running the Wildcat? Miami's wildcat netted 30 yards in 14 plays. Worked great at the goal line, but between the hashes was pretty ineffective. Not saying it doesn't have a place in the NFL, but as a regular offense I still just don't see it. kpholmes
It's incredibly effective, but it's flaw is that it's all Miami has. They've shown us against Indy and now NO that they're more than capable of using it to gain a lead and hold it for awhile, but they have absolutely no way of playing from behind. Their two minute drill against the Colts was pathetic at best.

That team will not win a Super Bowl running the wildcat. It is a cute gimmick, but over time will be less effective.

T_bone65
The Cowboys actually lined up in a Wildcat yesterday, only to have yet another false start or some such penalty called They also had a wishbone formation on at least 1 play as well.
