detlef
We had ESPN turned on the bar TV last night, but as usual, no sound. And because I was working, I wasn't able to just sit there and watch it. However, I could swear that they had a segment on Chris Cooley's shorty shorts (ala John Stockton) specifically featuring some dude who was painting a portrait of Cooley in helmet, shoulder pads, jersey, and the shorty shorts. What the hell was this?

CardinalEmpire.com
Love yourself much, Chris? Based on that interview... yes, yes he does. I had to chuckle when he made a comment to the effect of, "People don't know this, but the guys in this league are all normal dudes. Just better than other people." Van Gogh painted pictures of himself often, and he suffered from chronic depression. Anyway, I think Cooley is highlareous. Just what the league needs. . .funny, quirky, great at his position and not a felon or a dillhole. Oh, and he's married to this. Honestly, I've read about him and his blog and he does seem like a cool enough guy. However, the Van Gogh comparison is rather thin.
bpwallace49
"I made a painting for you. It is violent and sexual" - Weird guy from Wedding Crashers That scene came to mind when discussing Cooley's paiting himself in short shorts . . . .lol;

kpholmes
Love yourself much, Chris? Cooley has always been more interested in his website than his career in football.
Chief Dick
Not sure why people think this guy is so cool. Every time I've heard him talk or read anything linked to his blog, he comes off like a rich, self centered d-bag. SheikYerbuti
However, the Van Gogh comparison is rather thin. The idea that anyone who paints a self portrait is a narcissist is even thinner.

detlef
The idea that anyone who paints a self portrait is a narcissist is even thinner. You're the one making the generalization, not me. That's my point with dismissing the Van Gogh comparison. Does painting a self-portrait make one a narcissist? Not necc. Does painting oneself in full gear and dolphin shorts, staring wistfully into the distance like a J C Penny's underwear model? Not exactly the tormented artists' unflattering expression of self loathing, now is it?
