Speaking on NFL Network Tuesday, Colts president Bill Polian indicated that Donald Brown could miss 2-3 weeks with a shoulder contusion.

Brown is almost certainly going to miss this week's game against the Niners, and it's not looking good for next week either. Mike Hart will be active this week and is expected to handle backup duties over Chad Simpson. Joseph Addai could see a slight increase in carries as well. Oct. 27 - 5:20 pm et

There goes my flex player on a bad bye week.

I drafted this guy and have been holding him all year hoping he'd break out soon. Been starting to wonder if the window is closing and I should let him go for more depth at another area. Anybody have opinions on Brown going forward. He seemed to do well when given the opportunity but an injury at this point in the season really seems to hurt his chance to start getting more of the 60 and less of the 40 split.

Fortunately, our league allows us to carry 1 player on "Injured Reserve". Brown's injury allows me to stash him away for a few weeks while he recovers. In this case, being injured is better than getting a few carries a game and having little fantasy significance.

Early in the season, it looked like it was only a matter of time before Brown would take over Addai's spot. However, over the past few weeks, Addai has up'ped his game and has asserted himself as the primary back. Brown's value has definitely diminished. Going forward, I don't look for things to change unless Addai gets injured.
