The Brett Favre poll made me put together my top 10 list.

This is my list of top all time NFL QB's limited to QB's that I actually watched play.

I started watching football every Sunday when I was in the 4th or 5th grade.

I was born in 1958 so do the math.

# 1 Joe Montana

# 2 Warren Moon ( don't argue with me on this one !!! )

# 3 - # 10 in alphabetical order

Terry Bradshaw

John Elway

Brett Favre

Peyton Manning

Dan Marino

Fran Tarkenton

Johnny Unitas

Yes no Steve Young on my list of top 10

Others I left off that are in many other top 10's from this time period

Joe Namath, Roger Staubach, Bob Griese, Bart Starr

If you want to correct my list and point out where I'm way off base.

Limit your comments to only QB's that you actually seen play yourself

and not QB's you have only read about.

Fouts falls just outside of my top 10 but I will tell you San Diego / Miami games were always fun to watch with Marino & Fouts slinging it up and down field

I love the Warren Moon love! I think it is awfully hard to justify putting Manning below anyone I have ever seen. Forget numbers, that guy plays the position more effectively than I ever thought possible.

Bradshaw completed 52% of his passes for his career and threw for an average of 166 yds per game. Food for thought...

Yeah, but he played a good chunk of his career pre-1978, that really skews the numbers downward. Post-1978, he led the league in tds twice in 5 yrs; still threw too many ints. But never had a losing record from 72-83.

Yes. If I had to have a cowboy QB on my team it would Dandy Don.

Probably more fun to party with than Captain America was, but I think people really undervalue Staubach.
