Colts Hagler and Jackson out for the year

Recommended Posts

Does this improve Schaub's match up this weekend?

Not really.

Marlin Jackson was a starter last year before tearing the ACL in his right knee in October. He played only nickel so far this year, and missed the last three games after straining his left knee. He tore the ACL in his left knee today. He has not been a major part of the defense.

Hagler has been the starter on the strong-side all year. He beat out Wheeler for the job in the pre-season. I don't see this being a hugh loss either. But the fact is, including DT Ed Johnson, the Colts have lost 3 starting quality players on defense in the last month. And they are heading into the toughest part of their schedule.

BUT, the fact that the other starter, Kelvin Hayden may miss the game with a concussion/knee injury and Bob Sanders may miss the game with an elbow injury, sure does make the Colts secondary look weak . . .
