Bob Sanders

Just saw a "breaking news" alert on Sportscenter saying that Sanders tore his biceps tendon in Sunday's game against the 49ers and is out for the season..

This defense is cursed I swear.

Jackson is out for the year, Hagler is out for the year, Sanders was good for one game this season (again) - and they still struggle against the run.

They're undefeated to date, but this team is in trouble if you ask me. Unless Manning can once again carry this team completely on his back, it's gonna be another great "regular season" with another disapointing postseason.

Geez. Bad week for the injury bug. 3 players lost for the year. Thankfully two have not been starters this year, although they have been in the past . . .

Bullitt will be just fine filling in for Bob.

Wheeler will be just fine filling in for Hagler.

What I'm starting to worry about is cornerback. Marlin Jackson hasn't been starting, but he's done for the year. Kelvin Hayden may miss a month with a knee injury. That leaves Tim Jennings and rookie Jerraud Powers as starters. Undrafted FA Jacob Lacey is the nickelback. I don't even know who they would turn to in the dime. They've been rolling those three out there for a month now, and they've been great, but the schedule is about to get much tougher, and I was counting on them returning to back-ups. I hope they can keep their level of play up.

I get that Sanders is a beast on the field when he plays but hasn't he only played something like 50% of the games since he's been in the league? That's a lot of money and time dedicated to someone who barely plays instead of grooming someone else.

Actually, it has allowed them to groom someone else. Melvin Bullitt has become a pretty good safety in his own right. There's not much they can do about the contract now. If we are heading into an uncapped year, it makes no sense to cut him. We'll have to see what happens with the CBA after that.

I love the way Sanders plays but i believe the Colts will soon part ways with him.Great player but he has shown year in and year out that he is not going to be a contributor on the field. It is going to come down to being a sound business decision very soon.

I haven't been following Indy closely, yet, this year.

But what comes to mind with all the D troubles is,

what is the state of the O line?

Cuz they are sure gunna need to protect PM so he can carry them.

Doesn't look like Gonzales will be around either....

what happened in the SF game? what were the weakness's? PM no TD's......
