Avernus Posted November 7, 2009 Share Posted November 7, 2009 he's not just having a sophmore slump....it's more complicated than that... he has a QB who rarely throws to the RB and the OL might be the worst...at least as far as the strong side goes anyways....or is it the weak side? :hmm: I forget... but yeah, he wasn't all that great running the ball anyways....it was his ability in the passing game which hasn't been eliminated, but it's definitely been minimized.... boone's goons Posted November 7, 2009 Share Posted November 7, 2009 Hey Gang Green, I think your problem is similar to mine, for I have Cutler. Their offensive line sucks big time. I watched the Cleveland game and Cutler was banged around like a bowling pin. Also, like someone mentioned, ol' Jay doesn't like short passes to RBs, which hurts too because that's where both he and Forte could rack up some points. Good luck out that way. His o-line cannot run-block, and his qb as mentioned rarely checks down. With reports of OC Ron Turner's job on the line for failing to 'get the most' out of his offensive talent, maybe there's a chance things start to turn around, especially in the red zone where da bears have been horrendous.
