Rovers
Sure, he made some mistakes. but he looks like he could be a very, very good NFL QB some day. Other than rookie mistakes, he looks to have the arm, the size, the smarts and an ability to escape and run that well, frankly, I don't know if I've seen before. I have to say that this impression was not from watching the whole game, just the NFL Red Zone channel, but I sure was impressed with what I did see. I think he has the potential to be a top five NFL QB for a long time down the road. Other opinions?

Chavez
Freeman's WRs bailed him out on numerous passes. He faced almost ZERO pass rush. I wouldn't be judging much on today's game. At best, he didn't make any killer mistakes. But not a knock-your-socks-off first start. Just OK all things considered.
ts
Did not see any of today's game, but I did watch quite a lot of the TBB-NEP game a couple of weeks ago, and all I have to offer based on that is - the only thing Freeman really has to do is suit up & he's way better than J. Johnson will ever be.

Seahawks21
He does throw a pretty ball, and seemed to put touch on the passes that needed touch, and threw bullets when he had to throw bullets.

Rovers
Honest to God...a top 5 QB? Unbelievable...sometimes I can't believe what I read. But then again, you have been watching the JETS for years. I can understand why you think he is good. Can some of you people read? You claim to be able to, so it must be a comprehension problem. Or you just want to have a little internet scuffle? First I said I ONLY saw clips of the game on the Red Zone channel. Not the entire game. Secondly I said from what I saw, he looked to have the whole package. I did not say he did. Thridly, I did not predict him to be a future NFL top five, just that I saw that potentoal, again, just from the minimal amount of plays I saw him execute. po⋅ten⋅tial /pəˈtɛnʃəl/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [puh-ten-shuhl] –adjective 1. possible, as opposed to actual: 2. capable of being or becoming: Than I asked others what they thought. There was no pass rush. That was something I did not know, I was asking people who saw the whole game what their impreessions were. I did not ask for your impressions of me, knucklehead. Go back in yer hole. TIA.
Rovers
Maybe some of you should tell Tuvey what you told me. His first comment in the weekly recap of the TB-GB game: All of a sudden the Bucs aren’t winless and Josh Freeman looks like a great draft pick. Notice the word looks. That means it's an impression, not an opinion or fact. Sometimes I also can't believe some of the drivel on this MB either. Forget about discussing, just turn it into a pissing contest, right? Now, go tell Tuvey what you told me.

However, to even say he has potential to be a top five qb in this league after watching clips on the Red Zone channel is ridiculous. The kid may someday be good, but will he ever be mentioned in the same breath as Brady, Brees, Manning, Roth, Rodgers, Rivers, etc is a huge reach. Please don't tell Tuvey I said this. Moron. It's moran, moran. Oh, and there is a place to add "comments" at the end of the paid content articles. It's against the rules to post paid content on the MB, but go read DMD's "Random Thoughts" article, and be sure to tell him he is a moran too. You still have trouble with comprehension. I said, based on the limited number of plays I saw, to paraphrase, that he looked ti have top five potential, not that he would be top five. It's also worth discussing as far as Freeman's FF value. In some keeper leagues, if he's picked up as an FA now, he can be kept for a last round draft pick next year. Is discussing his potential moranic, moran? Again, I have no idea why you keep pressing this. I am not saying this guy can't be good, I am saying that any reference to top five is a joke. I did read random thoughts and nowhere does he say that this guy could be someday considered one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He said he did a great job yesterday and the Bucs should be happy. That is it. He did not say anything else.

Rovers
Major reach and the odds are stacked way against it so no he will never be a top 5 QB. In 3 years from now, will the top 5 QB's be the same 5 as they are now? One of the young QB's will almost certainly get on that elite list. Try projecting which one it will be is the tricky part. That however is what dynasty players try to do, and that is what I am trying to do. Rodgers? Sanchez? Freeman? Ryan? Flacco? Stafford? Bradford? Another QB? The odds are stacked against all of them. But, in dynasty leagues, it's all about making a reach, projecting and hoping you guess correctly. Each of these have the potential. That is the idea behind even starting this thread. How do people look at Freeman as being the one to emerge? What is his potential upside based on just one start? This is a big part of ANY dynasty league strategy. You don't have to tell me how hard it is to figure out which young QB will eventually be a top 5 NFL QB. All of them are a reach, some less than others. But NOW is the time to try to pick one in the rookie draft or trade for one you think could turn into that player. Saying that there is NO young QB that will crack top five in the next few years or to rule one out as having NO chance means you should stick to redraft leagues, which are fun too. Dynasty league players are always taking long shots and keeping their fingers crossed. Look at Leinart. You take yer best guess. Turn down the stupid commentary quotient. Either comment on what you think Freeman's potential might be, or shut up. TIA.
