STL Fan
So the Cardinals were killing the Bears and put Leinart in with about 10 minutes to go. Suddenly the Cards stalled and the Bears surged and Warner goes back in, scores again and seals the deal officially. Two thoughts: 1- By doing this have the Cardinals killed any value he might have had to another team via trade or free agency? 2- Have they completely ruined the already-fragile psyche of Leinart to the point that he will no longer be the "future" starter there? How long can a guy wait? Aaron Rodgers is showing that it might not be a bad thing to be #2 for a while, but is Leinart learning anything? If Warner retires after the season, will they be comfortable anointing him the starter going forward? My thought is that we may have witnessed the ship officially sailing on Leinart as a starter yesterday.
Ursa Majoris
I very much doubt Warner quits this year, or next for that matter. Good point about Leinart's trade value, though. I don't think yesterday affected it much as it must already have been fairly low.

STL Fan
No, it's more based on the fact that when things started to get just slightly interesting again, they immediately went back to Warner. IMO they showed absolutely NO faith in Leinart at all. It's probably fairly obvious, but I own Leinart in a dynasty league.
matt770
In the NFL you can have talent galore, but you gotta have balls, heart, and a work ethic too. Some guys show up at 5AM to watch film, while others are kicking the whores out and going back to bed.

Unless you are referring to getting the most sluts in a hot tub world record, then yeah...he's committed all right.

I would have said Vince Young and Mike Vick were done, too. Of course, even Vince Young had done more on an NFL field than Leinart before his meltdown. Would I write him off? Yes. Would I be stunned if he grew up and got his poopy together? No If I were a Cards fan (or Fitz owner), would I be praying for Kurt Warner's health every night? Yes

DBunting
I am loving this as much this year as i did last year. I took Warner both years, relatively cheap and he continues to perform for me. This year i even had an owner say he would draft Leinert over Warner...couldn't believe he said it, and worse a couple of others agreed with him. Unfortunately, that idiot is in 1st and i am in 7th, my studs fizzled and a couple of his late picks blossomed...oh well.
