Cowboyz1
It looked like Romo to Roy or 911 turned the corner and found how best to use him against Philly. Roy is not a stop and start guy he is fliud and needs to get the ball in stride to be effective. The crossing route is there every game as his size and running style suits the skinny post and slants. He doesn't seem to adjust well to combo routes or routes that require site adjustments. I liked what I saw out of him in this game and I see him having a solid second half of the season. It also seemed he is not fully recovered from the rib injury, as he avoided the hit down the sideline when he clearly could have gained more yardage. From what I have seen from Roy he ussually doesn''t leave yardage on the field but he made a business decision on that play. From what I know ribs can take up to 8 to 10 weeks to stop hurting and that is with rest, which he won't be getting. All in all this WR corp is coming together and being able to spread the ball around and keep teams guessing is going to be the difference late in the season. The thing I like about this team is they are showing different ways they can win and are becoming a very difficult team to game plan. If Roy continues to improve his production, the Cowboys will be very difficult to stop and the D is starting to play at a championship level. I'd like to think it's his rib and not him being pussified.
caddyman
I'd like to think it's his rib and not him being pussified. What was up with the wildcat? Is that the first time the boys ran it? That sure takes the qb out of the flow and rhythm of the game. Of course I did not play Tashard and he scores.

As far as taking the QB out of rhythm? I don't think so, I don't see how it's any different than him handing off to a back or an end around. Not like they use it every other play. EDIT: Oh, it's Razorback, not wildcat. Edited November 9, 2009 by HowboutthemCowboys

Wolv
Roy and Witten lead the team in QB targets at 8 each. Not sure if thats a product of Austin getting double coverage or Romo becoming more comfortable with Roy. I'll reserve judgement until I see some consistency. This was a good starting point though....
ABearWithFurniture
Might be that Romo just finally put the ball where Roy could catch it...
tosberg34
Don't let Williams one "okay" game fool you. He's been playing tease like this for years. Long on promise and way short on delivery. I would say that this one "okay" game is more of a fluke than an actual turning of the corner.
wolfer
Miles Austin was doubled for the first time in his career. That'll be on every ticker this week. Teams are treating Austin as the #1 now. So, will Dallas forcefeed Austin or is this offense really 'romo-friendly'? I think Romo throws the ball to the guy who is open. I expect the targets to remained balanced like this and Miles to make the most of his. Roy is a big target but lacks explosiveness. 5 for 75 in mostly single coverage, nice start I guess, but it also feels like it's close to his ceiling.
