Chadman
I'm currently staring at a couple of trade deadlines in a couple leagues, and I have McNabb as my top(?) QB option on both teams. I have a lot of depth and options at all other positions, but have Flacco and Hass/Sea as my backups, with very few WW options at this point. My question is, what does everything think about Joe Flacco? He is kind of confounding to me at this point, producing top 5 numbers one week, and disappearing the next. I realize he has a tough schedule, and will the rest of the way, but I just don't know if I can count on him even with good matchups. Especially Baltimore watchers, what's the story there? Is he the real deal, or am I overvaluing him based on a few really good games this season? I'd like to be able to use him instead of McNabb some weeks, but I don't feel comfortable with either of them right now. With Philly's OL woes, and Westbrook being MIA half the time, what I thought was a strength has turned into a worry. Which guy is the real Flacco - and for that matter, which team is the real Baltimore team the rest of the way? Thanks for your thoughts. Mello
Flacco's a good QB. He's met or exceeded expectations in every game this year except against CIN. He torched MIN. That said, I don't think he has much trade value except in deep leagues or ones that start 2 QBs. There's too many starting quality QBs this year. I'd rather have these guys than Flacco: Ben Brady Brees Cutler Favre McNabb Palmer Peyton Rivers Rodgers Romo Ryan Schaub Warner Looking forward, the only week I see where I'd start Flacco over McNabb is week 14. Maybe week 17 if your championship game is that week.

That said, I agree with the above...don't know about every QB on the list, but i would on about 90% of it.
Marauders11
I just traded Matt Ryan for Flacco in my primary- 10 team league we start 2 QB's (Rodgers is my other QB)- Ryan's schedule is brutal going forward, so based on that I made the move- besides match-ups the 2 are virtually the same fantasy player IMO. Chadman
So, after the Cleveland game (to put it nicely), should we just dismiss that game as something that doesn't count? Seriously, Flacco looked bored and the offense certainly didn't seem to revolve around him and his decisions. Was this an aberration, and something that he and the team needs something difficult to work hard at? Trying hard not to complain about my personal decision about starting Flacco over McNabb this week - but I have not seen anything solid about Flacco as fantasy QB for quite a while, now.
