Upset of the Week...

The last 3 games between these 2 teams have not gone well for the Saints.

2007 - A winless rams team (0-8) coming off their bye beats the 4-4 Saints in the Dome.

2005 - A mediocre Rams team beats a bad Saints team in St. Louis

2004 - The Saints need a FG in OT to beat the Rams in St. Louis.

That being said, unless the Saints turn the ball over 5 times and S Jackson runs wild for 250 yards I don't see the upset happening.

But hey its the NFL, and you never know.

Former Saints FB Mike Karney is probably fired up about the game....

Though St. Louis Rams fullback Mike Karney says he has "moved on" from the insensitive timing of his release by Saints officials eight months ago, it appears the cut hasn't completely healed.

"It is what it is," Karney said Wednesday. "It's a cut-throat business at times. It's unfortunate they had to do it next to my wedding. I thought it was a little ironic, maybe. I don't know if it was planned that way or not. I think that was the only thing I was upset about.

"If you're going to move on, no problem. But they knew I was getting married that Friday, and they decided to do it that Thursday afternoon. I know for a fact they knew. Let me go either the week before that or the week after that. They obviously didn't care about that. That was the only thing that got me upset at the time, but I'm happy to be here in St. Louis."

The Saints (8-0) are prohibitive favorites in Sunday's game, much like they were when the teams played at the Superdome in Week 10 of the 2007 season. The Rams entered that game 0-8 and exited with their first win, 37-29.

"It's the National Football League," Karney said. "On any given Sunday, anything's possible. I learned from that situation in 2007 that you can't lay down for anybody. Anybody can get you. It is the National Football League, and everybody's going to play hard on Sundays.

"Hopefully, we can catch them on a bad day Sunday."

Would that be a bigger upset than the Raiders beating the Eagles

Yes, considering that the Saints are better than the Eagles and the Rams are worse than the Raiders. This, I believe, would be worse.

Just a hunch...... This is an internet forum, after all

Yeah, whatever. Is there any point to this thread. You give a ridiculous prediction and provided no reasons why you think this will happen. On the 1% chance that you're right, we then get to read about you bragging about it on sunday.

it's either Skins beating Denver...Seattle beats the Cards or...ummm...

Last week, I didn't post a thread, but I picked TB in that pool I'm in.

Anywho, I'm picking SEA this week - I think Burleson and Co. will back up the talk. FYI - I just acquired Burleson in a 14 team league as my starter next to Andre Johnson. I traded J. Finley to the Daniels owner
