His face didn't look promising as he was being carted off so I'd have to guess its probably true. But it may have come at a heavy price. Saints starting cornerback Tracy Porter left the game with a knee injury, and Jeff Duncan, the Saints beat columnist for The Times-Picayune, tweets that Porter's injury looks like a season-ender. On the first play of the second half, Porter suffered what is being described as an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday. Saints coach Sean Payton wouldn't discuss the extent of Porter's injury when he addressed reporters after the game. Porter, an athletic second-year player out of Indiana, has started all nine games for the Saints this season. Current estimated timetable is 4-6 weeks (probably the latter). http://www.wwltv.com/sports/Payton-Tracy-P...g-70200912.html Saints head coach Sean Payton said that cornerback Tracy Porter does not have a torn anterior cruciate ligament and will not need surgery, despite some reports to the contrary. Payton said there is no question they expect Porter back in the lineup this season, though a timetable is not set. “I feel real good for him,” said Payton. “It’s a strained MCL and there will be a time where he’ll have to rehab and recover.” Porter was injured when he was accidentally leg-whipped by Usama Young during a pass play.
