Bradshaw is a machine but at some point something has to give...

The designation on the injury report next to Ahmad Bradshaw's name on Monday was the same: foot/ankle.

Apparently, it should be ankles - as in two.

The Giants running back suffered a left ankle sprain in Sunday's overtime victory over the Falcons. He now has that injury plus a sprained right ankle and a cracked bone in his right foot.

Bradshaw, who has been wearing a boot on his right foot, is now wearing one on his left foot. He won't practice on Tuesday.

"Right after the game, they thought he had a (minor) ankle sprain," coach Tom Coughlin said. "But evidently, it's more severe than that."

Coughlin's statement and the fact Bradshaw is wearing a boot indicate this injury is rather serious and that he could be sidelined for Thursday's game against the Broncos. Asked if Bradshaw will make the trip to Denver, Coughlin gave his standard, "We'll see."

Bradshaw was not available to reporters the past two days and did not address the media after Sunday's game.

If Bradshaw is sidelined, the Giants will turn to Danny Ware to do more than just contribute as a third-down back. Ware had a very good performance in his debut in that role, as he was very good in picking up blitzes.

"He was," Coughlin said, "and he also made a real nice play on a run."

In other reports, sounds like Jacobs will be OK. Might Ware become more relevant here? With the Thursday game, this situation could be interesting.

Giants’ Bradshaw Will Not Play Against Broncos

By JOE LAPOINTE

The Giants announced Wednesday that running back Ahmad Bradshaw is officially out of Thursday night’s game in Denver and would not make the trip.

The Giants said Bradshaw has a sprained left ankle and also list him with a foot injury.

Middle linebacker Antonio Pierce, who missed last Sunday’s victory over Atlanta because of a disc injury in his neck, is in California, the Giants said, to get a second opinion from a doctor. Pierce is listed as out for Thursday and the Giants did not know if he would attend the game against the Broncos.
