Who will be the best players weeks 14-17 cuz we know, teams like the Colts, who have already clinched, will start to rest thier starters.... Last year, a fantasy stud was Kevin Walter from Houston....No poopy! Look at his production during these last weeks... Also, Kevin Smith and Pierre Thomas, who the winner pick up via ww in week 10-12 last year....Were outstanding.... What's ur take....? cdrudge
my take is the Colts won't be resting their startersI don't think they will be resting quite as much as the past, but I think that they will rest them enough that it will cost them an undefeated season, and/or make their fantasy value take a serious hit. From Peter King's MMQB this week: I asked Caldwell if the Colts would handle the last two or three games of the year differently than they did under Dungy. You're familiar with the national debate about going for the undefeated season. The Patriots went for it in 2007 and got to 16-0, only to lose in the Super Bowl. The Colts have thumbed their noses at it, preferring to be in the best possible physical condition entering the playoffs. That's how Dungy and Bill Polian believed the season should be -- once you've earned home-field advantage, rest your players and be in good position for the second season. Caldwell sounded no different Sunday afternoon when we spoke. "It'll be somewhat similar to what we've done,'' he said. "Going undefeated was always a secondary goal. I don't think we'll put too much emphasis on that.'' Indy needs one more win for home field advantage. I don't think that is going to come week 17. The best people can hope for is high scoring losses. I don't think that's likely. I think either a win or low scoring losses is much more likely, neither of which are great long term for fantasy teams.

The Bengals play the Lions this week, and the Chargers play the Browns, so the chances of the Colts winning this upcoming weekend over Tennessee and both the Bengals and Chargers losing are about as good as Delhomme winning league MVP. MustOfBeenDrunk
I have never seen any difference between player that helped you in earlier weeks verses 14 -16 I ignore the resting players angle until I know for sure it is going to effect me. The one think I will pay attention to is players in contract years
The Waterboy
I have never seen any difference between player that helped you in earlier weeks verses 14 -16I ignore the resting players angle until I know for sure it is going to effect me. The one think I will pay attention to is players in contract years Sometimes it isn't even intentional. Ask any Tom Brady owners from 2007 how well weeks 15 and 16 went for them. Guy laid a stinker against the Jets and was mediocre against the 1 win Dolphins. I know the Pats and Brady were gunning for 16-0 that year so it would be tough to suggest he took his foot off the pedal, and I don't think he did. Call it weather, whatever, but the guy either just didn't have it or they were cruising. Why I like my Philip Rivers pick better this year. Warm weather games in Dallas, SD (vs. Bengals), and then Christmas in Tennessee 14, 15, 16, with probable playoff/homefield implications all along the way.
