mroban
So I had made a trade a few weeks ago that looked like this: Steve Smith North and Beanie Wells for Manningham, Maroney and Sammy Morris. Im 3-0 since the trade and have played Maroney every week (sitting Slaton for the last two, he was on a bye week in week 10). My team is 9-3 and a lock for the playoffs. I was hating myself after the trade because Beanie went off the week I traded him. So I was having sellers remorse (especially since its a keeper league). But now...Im feeling like Maroney could be a very solid RB2 the rest of the way or a low end RB1 given the matchups. What does everyone think? BirdmanJones
Could be worse- I traded Maroney for Dwayne Bowe He looks better every week, the schedule looks great and the weather will only increase the load on the running game as we move into December. Only downside is SMorris (and Faulk) stealing touches-but you always have Slaton.
Henry Muto
Could be worse you could have done what I did...been real high on Maroney this year so I drafted him in 8 leagues between rounds 10-15. Then after I got tired of waiting I waived him in 5 of the leagues. In 1 of those leagues I needed a win in week 11 to make the playoffs and lost to the guy who picked up Maroney who I waived and he beat me because of him. Now in another league I waived Maroney I need a win this week to have a chance to go 10-3 and make the playoffs..but I waived Maroney. isleseeya
Two Words : Sammy Morris This does not mean that Sammy Morris comes back and takes over the job completely but i do believe Morris will take some pts from Maroney and knowing Belichick , it could be more than just a few pts All in all I like Maroney and how he is playing lately but i dont think anyone can bank on a Pat Rb for the long ride just my 2 cents ...good luck

Im actually more fearful of Fred Taylor than Morriis. Morris will definitely take some carries for sure, but he was lined up in the same backfield often as a FB. Taylor is a more dynamic back and was clearly the lead back when healthy. But if Maroney is doing well, I dont see how he loses his job without warning. I know better than to trust Belichick. he will pull the rug out from under us. Just hope there is some advanced warning and can shift to Slaton if necessary. Who do I trust more? Belichick or Kubiak? Uh.....
Ramhock
3 weeks back, turned down Maroney for LEvans. Morris was about to return. He ended up trading Maroney for TO. Worked out for them, anyway.
forever in debt to mo lewis
maroney was dropped after week 5 in my league....and after an 18 pt performance against the titans...i guess nobody believed in it....cause he was still out there....i was in desperate need of back so i grabbed him before they went out to london....hes done very well for me....going into monday nights game i was up 16.25 with maroney left to my opponents brady and welker....i never thought i had a chance....i guess the win was a silver lining after the pats got worked....but it moved me to 9-3 and into a tie for first place....and with my team/roster...its a miracle...ive had some good fortune so far....i think maroney can be the man going forward....i told alot of people when taylor and morris were both out that i really though that belichick wanted maroney to take this job and never look back...unfortunately he puts the ball on the carpet way too much and that has got to drive bill crazy...so i dunno...its impossible to get a read on the situation around here....but maroney, when hes able to find a hole and hit it, has a burst that fred and sammy dont....
