kpholmes
Howard will be shifted to starting strong side linebacker for Sunday's game against the Steelers, the Oakland Tribune reports. Not a permanent move, but should definitely cost him some tackles.
Zooty
(KFFL) Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable said LB Trevor Scott would start at weakside linebacker Week 13, with LB Thomas Howard starting at strongside linebacker in place of LB Sam Williams. Hugh for Scott since he is a DL on every league web-site
keggerz
covered it in the IDP Game Breakdowns: Linebacker: Kirk Morrison was the one that was close to losing his job prior to the start of the season but he was able to hold on to the very productive MLB position. Well after 11 weeks a Raider LB has lost their job but it wasn't Morrison, it was Thomas Howard. I also don't think it is as much as Howard losing his job as the Raiders wanting to find a spot for Scott to play. Ricky Brown was the starting SLB earlier in the year but he was put on IR and moving Howard to SLB actually make some sense considering Howard played SLB in college. Make no mistake about it though, this move kills Howard's fantasy value.
