zoob25
Did anyone know Carney was not kicking today? In my league we cannot do add/drops on Sunday morning. I had no clue he was out. Hartley got 15 pts. So I had no kicker today. I was in a 3 way tie for 1st place playing one of the teams I was tied with. The other guy in the tie for 1st all ready lost. This 15 pts screwed my entire season. I am up by 8 pts with Greg Jennings and GB D. He has Crosby, Ray Rice and Vikes D. Unreal, entire season of getting yelled at by the wife for doing fantasy stuff on the internet. Thanks for listening.

Carney was only signed to fill in for Hartley while he was suspened. The Saints kept going with Carney because he was kicking fine(similar to what happened last year with the Giants and Tynes). Last week, he missed at least once and barely made the kicks he did make. Not saying it was obvious they were going to make the switch, but if I was a Carney owner, I would have probably come up with a backup plan coming into this week just in case. STL Fan
An owner in my league wasn't paying attention and left himself with one kicker after the transaction deadline - John Carney. Have fun in the playoffs with no kicker!

If it makes you feel any better, it's not as if Carney would have put up 15 points, as he's just about garbage for anything longer than a 30 yard FG at this point. I had him on my roster, but kept a second kicker all year because it was pretty obvious something could happen... Why else would the Saints keep two kickers on the roster? I think they kept 2 kickers because Hartley had a great year last season, and they didn't want to lose him to another team when the knew the older Carney was for the short term. Carney did a great job the first half of the season, and Payton couldn't get rid of him and spoil something that was working. Once, Carney gave Payton a reason to change, then he pulled the trigger. Still, he hasn't cut Carney yet, so I think he's going to make sure Hartley is consistent.
Skippy
I missed it. Now I need a td and some yardage or about 82 yards out of Mason.
zoob25
Well I won even without a kicker. GB D came through so I won the division. I will add/drop for Hartley next waiver day. Good luck to all who made the playoffs.
muck
Thinking out loud: I wonder if NO wins the SB this year, do you think that they'd give Carney a ring / money for having been a very solid kicker for them for 75% of the season? No Quarter
I missed that too. I would have lost anyway but it was still anoying. I monitor the stautus of my players all week but a kicker? My bad.
