SpinalTapp
Game and audience sounds (cheers, hits, etc.) seem very distant. I always feel very disconnected from the game action when watching games on NFL Network because of the audio quality. Others experience the same thing? Perhaps it is just my TV, but all other network NFL productions sound much better.
Ursa Majoris
IMO, the NFL Network is technologically 25 years behind the rest of TV. Even NFL Films sounds like wartime cinema newsreels.
Big John
Yes, and the sound was off for a quarter 3 weeks ago. Edited December 11, 2009 by Big John
SpinalTapp
IMO, the NFL Network is technologically 25 years behind the rest of TV. Even NFL Films sounds like wartime cinema newsreels. Perhaps its a combination of technology (they are light years behind) AND budget...meaning they are too cheap to put the necessary number of on field and in-stadium mics required to produce industry standard quality sound. cdrudge
Yes,but it's because of Matt Millen..I was just going to say it wasn't the audio that sucked, it was just the announcers. Even pre-season games produced by the local TV stations seem better...
