HowboutthemCowboys
NFL Network reports that Bengals RBs Cedric Benson and Larry Johnson will share carries against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Apparently, the Bengals want to ease up on Benson's workload heading into the playoffs.

Makes perfect sense...no reason to give the dude 30+ carries when they have another RB that can easily take 10-15 touches and produce well. Benson will still get his 15-20 touches....but for Benson owners, its gotta be a bummer.
3xcrazy
Very smart on Bengals behalf. Especially with playoffs and cold weather up ahead
Judge Smales
Going against him in one playoffs and have in on my roster in the playoffs in another league. I guess I'm split on this one. I agree 100% with Swammi though, no reason to beat him down when you know you are going to the playoffs.

DMD
His last three full starts had 37, 34 and 36 carries. That is unsustainable anyway. He can give up a good bit and still turn in a good game.
bpwallace49
Sucks for my FF team, but it makes sense to beat up LJ, especially against the Vikings run defense.
ts
His last three full starts had 37, 34 and 36 carries... It would be quite alright with me if Benson sent a few of those "spare" carries over in Gore's direction for a couple of weeks.
gardenthug
I'll believe it when I see it. The "experts" were calling for LJ to split carries last week. If Cinci is going to run Benson 30+ times against Detroit, I have a hard time believing we'll see a "split" when Cinci is playing more relevant teams, with home field still at stake. LJ should get more than the 2 carries he got last week, but there is no way we're seeing a split.
Scooby's Hubby
I think against Detroit the "quick lead" factor may be good and bad for Benson. Good b/c he will get carries early and maybe a short TD run...Bad b/c he will be sat for most of the second half.
giantsfan
Let's keep in mind what we are talking here. 20 or so carries for Benson. Not 30 or so. Let's be careful to go too far. Saying Benson will split is misleading. They said Benson is the guy still. Just instead of going 35-3 for Benson, you may be looking at 20 or so to 5-8 or so. Any more of a split than that and I'd be shocked.
