isleseeya
I am seriously thinking about benching Roddy White next week even though he was my first WR drafted and i dont have a stud to replace him ( would have to go with Collie or Chambers ) ...Darrell Revis is that good ... I do believe he is now the best shut down corner in the game any thoughts ?
giantsfan
I hear you, and agree. I plan on starting Holmes, D. Jackson, and either Ocho/Bowe/Garcon over White. He is on my bench for sure this week.
Jackass
thinking the same. has anyone put up a good game against Revis all year?
Rovers
After this week, there is no doubt in my mind Revis it the best CB in the NFL. What the heck do they call that pass play when the QB intentionally underthrows a sideline pass to the WR? That was the only way Woodson could be beaten yesterday, but Revis even recovered and defended a perfect pass like that to A Bryant yesterday. It was an incredible play. Barring a slip and fall, or when Revis has to rely on a safety for deep coverage when he is assigned to stay short, he's almost impossible to beat. If White is to do anything next week, Atlanta will have to find a way to keep Revis from covering him. I think I'd start Jenkins over White next week. Even Sanders said Revis is all that and more. He has shut down the best of the best all year in man coverage. Revis Island... it is not a vacation resort for WR's.
MustOfBeenDrunk
I hope you guys are right because i'm facing White in one league next week
Trots
I just can't bring myself to start Avery or Floyd and sit Roddy. Sims-Walker had a decent game against Revis. Maybe I'll get lucky.
Mello
I would start just about any warm body on your bench before I start White this week. Collie or Chambers more than qualify.
Avernus
I'm contemplating Meachem over White this week.... it's a tough decision regardless..
yo mama
I'm contemplating Meachem over White this week.... it's a tough decision regardless.. I don't think that's a tough call at all. Meachem is white-hot right now.
Gun Slingah
I'm having the same problem as you...I'm starting D. Jackson and Boldin next week but for my flex I'll have to take out White and decide between (James Jones, Marshawn Lynch, Lenoard Weaver, Greg Camirillo). It's the semifinals so I might stick it out with Roddy White hoping he can at least get a few looks in the the red zone.
robert terni
In a PPR league should I start Cotchery vs Falcons or White vs Jets?
yo mama
In a PPR league should I start Cotchery vs Falcons or White vs Jets? I'd be a lot more afraid of the Jets' secondary than the Falcons.
Big John
In a PPR league should I start Cotchery vs Falcons or White vs Jets? This is a question for the advice forum
Avernus
I don't think that's a tough call at all. Meachem is white-hot right now. true, but White is still by far the #1 target in ATL while Meachem is 1-of-5 options that Brees has.... either way, I'll roll the dice on meachem... isleseeya
Amazing how you draft a guy as your # 1 WR ( as i did with White ) and then come semi final week ( playoffs ) , you are strongly considering benching him because of a corner back whom you did not even think of on draft day Well i think i am following most in this thread that i started and will sit White (who is not 100 % any way and now that i think about had a really weak game against Saints where you figured he would produce much more )
giantsfan
I know it seems/sounds kind of weird, but not sure how you'd play him this week. I would need to have really below average options to start White. Just the truth. Revis has shut down the best (from Moss to AJ) and you'd play White against him? Backup QB. May not be 100% (although I tink he is like 95%). Didn't do much last game. The game before, despite 20 targets, he wasn't great until a fluke last second TD. Could he get a TD? Sure anything can happen. He could get loose once and get a TD. He should get 7-10 throws his way. Just not sure how I could start him this week unless I had very poor options to choose from. White had a monster game 1 time this year (vs SF). Of the rest of his games, his BEST was around 12-14 points (non-ppr). So figure that a monster game is unlikely vs Revis. Also, a GOOD game (12-14 points) is not probable. That leaves not much to be expected. Even if Roddy sneaks a TD, he would probably end with MAYBE 9 points with NO UPSIDE.
