seadogs
Any homers have any insight to offer on how his ankle is coming along or if it looks like he will be playing this week?
dope man
He is killing me, I still have a lead in my league (thanks to DJAX, AROD, and Meachum) But that lead is slipping unless Forsett shines this week. I need the burner back!!!
Albatross
Turner still suffering high ankle sprain. Local papers, talk shows think he will be out this week. Week to week but probably down.
42zero
Turner screwed me. Him and Slaton were the reason for the demise of my team that was unstoppable all year.
rebdog
this is frustrating. i'm in my playoff semi-final. would like to consider going with Reggie Bush on Saturday, but don't want to miss out if Turner goes.

dope man
Yep, even if he does play he might be limited anyway........might as well look elsewhere

kingfish247
Atlanta's season is slipping away. He had a high ankle sprain, came back too soon, then resprained the ankle in a different place, supposedly. Don't expect Turner back anytime soon, if at all. seadogs
Well now it looks like there is a pretty good chance that he will play. Just wish I knew how good that ankle is really doing....
keggerz
Well now it looks like there is a pretty good chance that he will play. Just wish I knew how good that ankle is really doing.... he is listed as QUESTIONABLE on the Friday injury report and that means he is 50-50 to play...to me 50-50 doesn't equal a good chance it is just a chance. STL Fan
he is listed as QUESTIONABLE on the Friday injury report and that means he is 50-50 to play...to me 50-50 doesn't equal a good chance it is just a chance. Â Really, though, when was the last time you saw someone listed as questionable that didn't play? It's pretty rare.
seadogs
I also read he took about 25% of the snaps with the first team and heard he looked pretty good. To me that sounds like he is going to play, how much or how effective he will be is the question. I'm sure there are more than just a few owners out there who could really use him this weekend if that ankle is even close to 100%. I know the talk of a muddled backfield but to me if he is healthy enough to be productive then that backfield won't be that muddled. This is a must win for ATL and Turner gives them undeniably the best chance at getting that win if that ankle holds up.
Jackass
Really, though, when was the last time you saw someone listed as questionable that didn't play? It's pretty rare. Â Historically, those listed as probable play 89.4 percent of the time, those listed as questionable play 54.0 percent of the time, and those listed as doubtful play 7.7 percent of the time. That bears little resemblance to the 75/50/25 split that the injury list is popularly thought to represent. Â Scroll down to #5. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/13/sports/f...?pagewanted=all Edited December 18, 2009 by Jackass
keggerz
with the cowboys win the Falcons were eliminated from the playoffs...Not sure how the Falcons will handle the situation but there really isn't anything to gain in risking Turner so his owners should look for other options to be safe

keggerz
interesting. in all fairness earlier this week Mike Smith said the outcome of this game wouldnt influence his decision....not sure I believe that but still think Turner owners should be prepared
whitelightning
i would rather he sit out another week and be 100 percent for the final 2 weeks of the season when he would be a must start for me.
Jackass
looks like Turner will start. Don't love the matchup but i guess you have to put him in there. Agree?
BillyBalata
looks like Turner will start. Don't love the matchup but i guess you have to put him in there. Agree? Â Â Hard to trust him after the last time he tried to play. But with a hard, snowy, slippery field, you'd think if he was still gimpy they would not put him out there in those condiitions, too easy to re-injure the ankle. So if he's going to play, it would make you think the ankle must be fairly solid. Â It's him or Julius Jones for me....so I'm probably not going to lose a lot by starting Turner... Chadman
According to both Fox and ESPN pregames, he's playing, and so is Matt Ryan. ESPN report said he was out on the field and he felt good warming up. Field report said field is in better condition than you would expect. Good luck, everybody, I'm probably putting Gonzalez in for Winslow based on all of this info, as the Falcons probably will have better luck on offense with those two playing (at least for a while). The Irish Doggy
Meh, I'm not risking it. Chris Jennings is my only other option, but at least he's healthy.
Jackass
I'm thinking there's no way atlanta would be dumb enough to put him out there if he wasn't mostly healthy after what happened 2 weeks ago.
rebdog
i've got Moreno so I'm roling with him. can't risk Turner in this spot. ......i'll just watch it bite me in the ass now.
