irish
I went from feeling pretty confident about Fitz playing and having a fantastic game against the Lions this week, especially because he returned to last week's game. However, an MRI revealed that he has a bone bruise (not a hugh deal) but he also has a sprained knee. I wonder how bad the sprain is, if he'll be able to play and even if he does will he be effective or more of a decoy? http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/1266571...ined-right-knee

Now I know I wont have to worry about him this week.
irish
Whew, I'm glad you are confirming the news I heard a few hours ago. Now I know I wont have to worry about him this week. Any time. I saw it awhile ago as well but didn't see anything posted here so I figured I'd post it in case others hadn't seen it and to create some dialogue as the week unfolds in regard to his progress and opinions from fellow Homer Huddlers about what they may hear. damageinc
He was essentially a decoy Yesterday when he came back into the game. If he plays you probally have to play him but its a huge risk.
irish
He was essentially a decoy Yesterday when he came back into the game. If he plays you probally have to play him but its a huge risk. That's exactly the fear and with it being playoff time, it's really tough to roll the dice like that. I watched that game closely last night as I needed more points from he and Boldin for better playoff seeding (which I didn't get) and it certainly seemed as if he was just being used as a decoy. Hopefully, with some rest, we can get more positive news as the week goes on.
i_am_the_swammi
I try desperately to avoid playing guys who come into a game hurt. Sometimes they do indeed play up to potential....but more often than not, they underperform, or worse, reaggravate the injury. With a guy like Fitz, who the Cards need 100% healthy in a couple weeks for the playoffs....against Detroit.....I could see him sitting this one out, or or playing limited snaps while taking the 2nd half off once they are ahead. And thats assuming he is healthy enough to go at better than 80% speed. I know it sucks, especially during key playoff games, but I'd look to option B. Samson
With Maclin also banged up, I would be looking at Option C . . . Josh Cribbs. Now that's a slight dropoff from what a healthy Fitz could do vs. the Lions.
MrTed46
I just traded Ray Rice for Fitz and I am going to play him because my WRs suck. It's either him or Housh.
buddahj
i hope he plays...i need him this week. but i'd rather see him not play then play but just as a decoy or for limited snaps.
