The Grey Pilgrim
Does anybody have any word on this situation in Indy? Any chance the Colts pull a "Saints" and announce Vinatieri becomes the starter late in the week? Maybe just prior to game time? I am running with only 1 kicker (Stover). We can only use 8 waiver moves per year, so I don't want to waste one of my last 2 WW moves, if I don't have to. Thanks for any information or just opinions. CaptainHook
I think you're taking a risk. There has been no info on Vinatieri since the surgery. But the Colts have not put him on IR, which I find curious. I have no idea why they haven't, unless they plan on using him later this year. The rookie punter, McAfee, has been awesome at kick-offs. Stover's range is definitely under 50 yards, but I don't see Vinatieri, coming off surgery, being appreciably better. Yet for some reason, he hasn't been put on injured reserve. The Grey Pilgrim
Now that's what I call help. Thank you, Hook. I don't need to waste a precious waiver move to back up Stover. Much thanks.
