McBoog
There was OUTRAGE over the fact that sMarty was dismissed from the Chargers a few years back. Though few other than real Bolt fans that this was caused as much by him and his desire to sabotage his relationship with the team and force their hand in removing him as the desire to was to get him out. All the talk about how AWWWW-sum he was and how he builds/teaches teams to be winners... Why isn't there any talk about him coming back and re-building a team? Could it be because he and his teams are the biggest tank-jobs in play-off history and no owner wants to be in the SAME situation as the Browns, Chiefs and the Chargers were three years after they hire him? I think it could have more to do with him saying that after 30 years of coaching, he's not interested in going down that road again.
rajncajn
I know it would never happen, but I'd personally love to see Cower go to the Browns. Those fans deserve a respectable team & Cower would be a great fit IMO.

Pope Flick
Some people are still stinging from that 14-3 season.... I could see him resurfacing in Buffalo.
bpwallace49
I think he is done . . and judging by him not immediately doing commentary like Matt Millen, he may actually want to stay out of the limelight.

BeeR
no owner wants to be in the SAME situation as the Browns, Chiefs and the Chargers were three years after they hire him? You mean a perennial winner? The HC doesn't make the throws or miss the tackles. It's not like he gets to the playoffs and suddenly makes a lot of bad decisions. A lot of teams would be nuts not to hire him - if he wanted to coach.

It has become a pathology for the man to panic in the playoffs. When he was in San Diego, I still had very close contact to the team and heard some of the he was doing and saying before and during the game they lost to the Patriots in San Diego when they had the #1 seed. The coach has a lot to do withe the mind set and preparation of a team.
