Dont Rookie Me........
Half price entrance for the next 3 years. 2 extra roster spots for the next 2 years. and a supplimental draft pick at 1.13 (between the 1st and 2nd round) in both of the next two rookie drafts. Im still thinking this may be a Herculean task and not even sure there is a good counter for this team. Im hoping some full Keeper veterans can help me out with something that seems reasonable. Analysis of Mildos team in a 12 man PPR Full Keeper league. Start 2RB, 2wr, flex, TE, K and D 2 draft picks in the second round this year from Wildfire and ScocknAwe as well as a third round from ShocknAwe. 4-10, fewest Points in league. 1246 points while the leader is hovering around 1993, a 747 point difference. This team is going to have to get 60% more efficient to compete, with the worst bench. The bench is over 300 points lower then everyone else in league with only a rookie draft to compete. In fact the I would say the average bench scores 1100 and Mildos did not exceed 600. So there is roughly a 500 point difference in bench average and 400 point difference in starter average (we need to find 900 points to be average, that is 72% better...to be average). Also 6 benches have almost the same number of points as Mildos starters and 8 are with 150 points of our starters. 4 players in top 100 and one being TO. In a twelve man league I would hope that one would have 8 players or close to that in the top 100. Potential Lineup QB- Not one QB in top 20 Cassel (some upside but 22nd in league...now so he can only move up right? Blinded by USC logic here i think), Edwards (fodder) Overall F RB- Not one RB in top 33 (who the when I wore my first dress did he take first round in a keeper league PORTIS and as I see it no viable starters next year. Coffee (upside if he gets traded), Portis (on the down slope, 29, injury riddled, trade bait if someone were to bite although highly unlikely), Williams may have some value if the team gets better but he may also be in a RBBC, the rest Ware, Ward, Jennings, Moore uh well enough said Overall F WR- 2 in top 30 including TO who in my opinion at 37 is pretty much done, maybe one more year at most Breaston third receiver on a pass happy team, Cribbs (great upside if he makes it as a RB), Floyd (5th year never had above 30 catches), TO (turning 37), Steve Smith (solid best player on the team), Walter (not a fan much but does OK across from who I consider to be the best WR in football, gets hurt a lot) Overall D (one viable starter, this is only a D because the first two were so bad) TE Celek (stud in the making good upside coming into third year), Lewis is so so I think you may be able to pick up better on the waiver wire. Overall A (Maybe we could trade Celek for a whole team who knows) K Ryan Longwell 3rd on the list Overall A it is a when I wore my first dressing kicker and the 6th place kicker is a free agent D Cincinnati 10th on the D list with potential upside, NY Giants remind me of Swiss Cheese Overall C Top team in league QB Warner followed by Stafford RB Johnson, R. Bush Moreno, M. Bush and Felix J WR Wayne, Welker, Marshall, Ocho, Morgan and who the when I wore my first dress cares this guy is set at WR in a PPR league. Top team in our potential Division QB Manning, Favre got 3 more years on manning and he is damn good what if he ends up like Warner RB Jackson Turner pretty good line up for years to come P Thomas as back up WR Miles, Crabtree, Britt, Henderson GREAT stable of WR's not counting Driver and Housh TE Miller, Shockey 8-10 Starters great upside at WR with Miles Crabtree and Britt Jackson and Turner still haves years left I like Shockey Any ideas to help this team out would be appreciated and thank you in advance. kcmast
Are you saying he already has 1 first rounder and 3 second, or does he only have the two second?
tonorator
no, save yourself the grief. you need about 5 years to even be competitive.
Caveman_Nick
I took over a worse team in 2007, and while I did not make the playoffs this year I fielded a competitive team, and I didn't get the kind of consideration you are getting with the half price entry for 3 years and 2 extra roster spots (I got free entry for year 1). Next year I am looking at being a possible playoff team. It's all about the moves you make. I think it can be done.
