Steve Smith

He still doesn't have a real QB he has an average QB....this is the real Steve Smith check out his stats in 2007 when he was a stud when Delhomme knew how to throw.

If they had a real QB like a good one he would be a top 5 fantasy WR like he was in 2007.

I think he's one of the top 3 offensive athletes in football.

There was a game against Miami a few years ago where he went straight over the middle and in a show of pure strength stiff armed 3 players and went to the40-50 ard to the house. In a game a week before or after that he was thrown a WR screen and went 80 yards without being touched.

Randy Moss could do the latter, but not the former. TO in his prime could do the former, but never the latter.

He's as complete as can be ISMHO.

Uhh... I won a WCOFF league championship in 2007 with him on my team. He was disappointing and probably the worst pick in my draft. David Carr couldn't hit him for jack. Also had him on our team in 2006 and he wasn't all that.

I think you are getting your years confused.

Maybe, but he has helped me win a couple of titles over the years. Can't draft him now because of the QB issue.

in 2007 his 1st 2 games

Week 1 - 25 pts

Week 2 - 41 pts

Week 3 Delhomme got hurt...so he suffered the rest of the year

Still week 6 he had 31 pts and week 16 28 pts

2006 he missed the 1st 2 games of the season still finished as the #7 WR that's pretty good 14 games

Guy is a freak much like lincecum in baseball because they both play above and beyond what they should size wise! Smith goes up and gets passes like a 6'4" guy most of the time and he's like 5'10"! And also goes over the middle like a big WR/TE does with no alligator arms either! At times it really looks like the guy might have springs instead of hamstrings (HAMSPRINGS  )

Now with nearly a full year with Delhomme being crappy he is generally going to put up similar stats in the realm of what he has done in 06 and 07.

He's a stud, but apparently still needs a competent QB to perform like he did in 05 and 08. One of the reasons I passed on him this year.

ETA: He tempted me this year, but with guys like Wayne generally being available around the same time I passed.

If you look at SS, he really hasn't had that bad of a season. Nothing crazy especially for where he was likely drafted but not the disaster it appeared to be midway through the season. I have him and he's come up big the last few weeks.

And yes he's a terrific player who has NO quarterback and the WR opposite him is old man Mushin Muhammad! NOBODY!

If SS was on Indy or Minnesota he'd have 20 TD's. Even if he was on, say, Washington, he'd have 10+ TD's.
