BigMikeinNY
Winnings were in there after breakfast this morning! Many options with your winnings including a paper check, direct deposit, or even a VISA Card. A+ in my book!
Trots
I didn't like the fact that if you choose the direct deposit option, it costs you $5. How can that be more expensive for them to process than a Visa debit card, which is the "free" option?

Moss6
How customizable is it? – In addition to normal drop/add and trade costs during the season - we have a penalty of paying into the pot ($0.10 point when you lose each game – lose by 40 pts, owe $4) can add quite a bit more to our pool at the end of the year

Founded by fantasy sports industry veteran Paul Charchian, LeagueSafe streamlines and simplifies the financial aspects of fantasy sports leagues. LeagueSafe is a free service that eases the organizational burden on fantasy sports commissioners ... and provides all league participants the convenience of secure online payment into an FDIC-insured financial institution. At the end of the fantasy season, prize winners have several different ways of withdrawing their winnings in accordance with league rules. "Simply put, LeagueSafe.com is a commissioner's best friend," says Charchian, LeagueSafe's President and majority owner. Link
j2v
Yep, that's the same Charch. I pinged him to let him know there was a compliment and some questions about LeagueSafe so he could chime in with info. I know Big John can call up previous threads on this same topic. My experience—in the interest of full disclosure I co-host a radio show with Charch and play in his league but have no vested interest in LeagueSafe—with the product has been entirely positive. And as evidenced by Charch's appearance here, they're more than happy to field questions and address any concerns. 2V

Now, I get to call in and ask you whether I should start Puddy, Loaf, or Henry Muto.

Square
That was wcd480 doing that.. Yea, I've done it a few times since. I still think its funny to throw a huddle-ism when I had a question and could get through.

How can that be more expensive for them to process than a Visa debit card, which is the "free" option?I doubt the actual cost to process the direct deposit is $5 additional. However the fee is likely there to provide a financial incentive to go the debit card route. If a person goes that route, the funds can get transferred into a interest bearing account which makes the funds available to the card holder, but still makes interest for the bank and/or LeagueSafe before the funds are actually spent. Or in the case funds are never completely used within some time period, revert back to the bank or LeagueSafe (check local laws for applicability). There may also be inactivity fees that add up over time if the card is not used. The same principals that apply here also apply to rebate cards that are replacing rebate checks at stores. Puddy
Tell Charch thanks for passing the Fantasy Football call in segment on the Omaha ESPN affiliate. Now, I get to call in and ask you whether I should start Puddy, Loaf, or Henry Muto. I hope you made the right choice and didn't lose your championship game by starting Muto or Loaf. There's a reason you start a guy like Puddy (my blazing speed, route running expertise and my penchant for coming up big at critical moments). Oh and I guess League Safe would be cool to give owners peace of mind in a league where they have reason to worry about their treasurer. Outside of that, I'd save the money on fees. Likely going to move another league in there for next year as well. Obviously, we are happy with the product. Both leagues charge flat fees for our owners(there are no transaction fees) so LS really works out nicely for us. Sounds as though it will accomodate those of you who charge per trans, too, which is nice. for the product and for the sat AM show
