Sorgi is due $1.08m and then is a free agent in 2011. Painter I doubt will be back next season. Do the Colts draft someone else in a few months to take Sorgi's place in 2011? Sorgi will be back next year. Painter probably will too. He's a rookie. Drafted late. The Colts never expected him to see the field this year. But he played well enough in the pre-season to land the #3 job. Unless he plays terrible in next year's pre-season games, Painter will be groomed to be the #2 when Sorgi is not re-signed.
