Avernus
Serious question.. If that guy ( the Jets fan) was wearing a Romo jersey and chanting "Cowboys" at an Eagles game would the fans: a. call security b. stick up for him when the police arrived c. fill his mouth with bloody chiclets I have'nt been to an Eagles game since ( I believe) '92. Just askin'. he would probably get shot in the face

Just askin'. D. None of the above. There wouldn't be fisticuffs (since you lose your season tickets if involved in a fight, and 95% of the stadium is season ticket holders).....but some not-ready-for-prime-time verbal abuse could be in order. No one would stick up for him, thats for sure. And I doubt anyone would be a tasty morsel enough to call security....we'd rather dish it back....tell him his chick was a guy. On the flips side, most people have come to realize you respect the opponents crowd...especially when you are surrounded by opposing fans. I wouldn't be acting the way that Jets fan was in very many stadiums. Can you imagine acting like him in NY, OAK, NE, BUF, CLE, PIT, WAS, BAL, or any other place where there are passionate fans? Philly shouldn't be labeled any better or worse than any of those.
i_am_the_swammi
Is that type of behavior permitted at the Eagles game? No, its not, but lets be real...it was snowballs a day after 2 feet of snow had fallen....are you telling me that wouldn't have happened anywhere else? heck, the Eagles fans were throwing them at each other, . It wasn't like they were throwing batteries or anything.
pig devilz
What got the guy taken out was his resisting. Video doesn't show everything, could have been a fight and/or the guy may have been drunk/buzzed...doesn't take much to get taken out. Rovers
I thought the fan was a real jerk. You want to root for the road team, fine, but don't turn around and yell JETS at the fans seated behind you. That is just asking for trouble. Having said that, he did nothing bad enough to warrant being thrown out. Seems to me he refused to leave, so that's when they tried to cuff him, and he resisted. The cops were pure azz wipes though, that one cop started to threaten the Charger fan that was sticking up for the guy. The other Charger fan who obviously agreed to be a witness tells me that people who saw the whole thing think the cops were way out of line. The cops should have just given him a warning, and told him to keep facing the field. Instead, SD gets a black eye.

Let's face it, the Eagles fans were never going to stop. They didn't demonstrate the ability to know when enough is enough. Eagles fans have a bad reputation because they continue to earn it.
