Ursa Majoris
That's the best they could do? Kinda vindicates what I was saying about the Chargers re-signing Norv though - apart from the guys currently occupying seats in the comfy TV studio, there really isn't much out there. peepinmofo
You did wear a Buccaneer cap for a MH picture. Right. But that was a LONG time ago. And besides, other than you, no one remembered that. haha. I just had a conversation with a friend and told him I would prefer the Titans over the Bucs. That's the best they could do? Kinda vindicates what I was saying about the Chargers re-signing Norv though - apart from the guys currently occupying seats in the comfy TV studio, there really isn't much out there. Brian Billick should have gotten the job WAY before Gailey. Frazier as well, though Ive heard he would likely have decided not to take the job. There are a million other guys most Bills fans would prefer. But such is the way Ralph Wilson runs his team. Unfortunately, and I dont mean to sound so harsh, but until he passes away, this team will continue to be in its downward spiral. ETA - I know Billick is a studio guy, but I dont know if he even interviewed. I know he said something negative about being a coach there at some point, but still, he was a much better option than Gailey. Piles
This is really pathetic. The fans (what is left of us) can't take anymore of this nonsense. We are the Oakland Raiders of the East (my apologies to Raider fans). I've had it with this team. I'm officially on the Packers bandwagon. Rovers
Wow, what a train wreck. It seems like Wilson doesn't trust anyone under 60 years old. The more senile you are, the more Wilson likes you. Keeping Fewell would have been better. But... people who want to jump teams, this I will never get. I can understand thinking about it, even being tempted, but it's something I could never do. Sure, if I were a Browns fan, I'd never root for the Ravens, but that is an exception. My heart would not have traveled to Baltimore, I'd still be a Browns fan, as bad as they are. However, regarding the bolded part, until you are in the position, you cant really understand. Am I jumping ship? No. Im not giving up on them after 20 years of being a fan. However, I truely believe that until RW passes, this team will be crapola. And at that time when he does pass, and the team is in the hands of new ownership, they will move to LA or some other city. Ursa Majoris
But... people who want to jump teams, this I will never get. +1. If the Bears left Chicago or went out of business, I'd revert to being the Untateve of the North - no team but just a football fan. I'd never, ever switch teams. Jienx
That's probably as bad as it gets. In terms of deflating the fanbase, and the players on that team. I think the Bills season is ruined before it's even started this coming year. There honestly had to be a different direction they could've went, even if it meant dragging the search out a bit longer. If I were a Bills fan, I think I'd rather have an unproven college coach with potential than a proven loser, even if it wasn't a big big name. Rovers
This character, what's his name? Nix? He's the GM or something? I think I met him when I was working a chain gang in Mississippi back in the 50's. That's the 1850's. He had a bloodhound named Beauford. I think he was smarter back then. Appaently he still doesn't much like Al Davis. He must have sold "Buddy's new used cars" in Chatanooga to make the move to Buffalo. I liked this quote: .....Nix said. "I know before I'm asked this, you're going to think I'm crazy, but we're not that far away." Then he said they were getting 15 calls a day from coaches asking for the job. Said he could have hired 35 of 'em. I guess he was taking the 36th caller that day. Enter... Chan Gailey. "Chan, you're the thirty-sixth caller! Just guess the name of the Bills franchise QB, and YOU can be the next coach!" Gailey ".... um.... didn't kinow you had one." Folks, welcome the new coach of the Buffalo Bills! peepinmofo
Great. And to know that we could have had Marty Schottenheimer (if this is true)... http://theredzone.org/BlogDescription.aspx?EntryId=2641 I just dont get it.

muck
Remember, he did such a good job as OC in KC this past off season that he was canned by Todd Haley a week before the season started. Good luck, Buffalo!
