I've told you guys for years that he is a maniacal idiot and the single most over rated player in nfl history. I hope you understand now.

Incomplete or INT are basically the same right there. They're going to make a bigger deal about that pick than they should.

The piss poor decision not to run into the open field ahead of him lends to the boneheadery of that play. Thats right..I said boneheadery

You cant be serious?

INT=overtime, INC=58 yard FG attempt. Obviously there's a chance that dude makes it, but not a great one. That's a long enough kick that teams won't even bother attempting it unless it's the end of a half.

Now, if they were on the 35? Then, sure, you try to gain another 5-10 to make it an easier kick but throw it away if nothing's there. However, in that situation, I can completely understand trying to force a play and not settling for an INC. Now, maybe he can tuck and run, but I'd need to see the play again.

ETA: I guess they were inside the 40, I thought they were just outside it. I suppose that changes things somewhat, but it would still be a career long FG.

Or AP, or the WIlliams brothers, now shut up and go brush your tooth.

Personal insults really help your argument.

They had those guys last year. Another level of confidence this year. And I'm not a Vikings fan; just live there.

He could have run for the yardage and in the title game against the Giants had easier throws. He had a great year but he is a gun slinger and you have to live with the turnovers.

They had a lot of turnovers in this game and most were not his fault.

Timeout #3 by NO at 01:06.

1-10-NO 33 (1:06) 29-C.Taylor right guard to NO 33 for no gain (92-R.Ayodele).

2-10-NO 33 (:25) 28-A.Peterson right end to NO 33 for no gain (92-R.Ayodele, 98-S.Ellis).

Timeout #2 by MIN at 00:19.

3-10-NO 33 (:19) PENALTY on MIN, Offensive 12 On-field, 5 yards, enforced at NO 33 - No Play.

3-15-NO 38 (:19) 4-B.Favre pass deep middle intended for 18-S.Rice INTERCEPTED by 22-T.Porter at NO 22. 22-T.Porter to NO 48 for 26 yards (65-J.Sullivan).

From the NO 38, you're looking at a 55yd attempt (which is no gimme) but is not even Longwell's career playoff long IIRC. I think he hit from 56 outside in the playoffs before(not that it matters). After they F***ed up and took that penalty, the QB has to know the situation and a pick or sack are the worst things that can happen(in that order). He's gotta know if there's nothing there, get what you can on the ground or throw it away and preserve the FG attempt. That's basic stuff there and an experienced QB has to have that in the front of his mind at that point.

Shoulda never even got to that point, though
