Per Profootballtalk.com.

I don't think he would call a presser to say he is coming back.:D

Report: Kurt Warner will announce his plans on Friday

Posted by Michael David Smith on January 27, 2010 1:41 PM ET

Kurt Warner doesn't intend to drag out his decision on retirement.

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that Warner will have a press conference on Friday at the Arizona Cardinals' facility to announce his plans.

At this point we don't know for certain whether Warner's announcement will be that he's retiring or that he's returning for the 2010 season, Schefter reports that there's a widespread feeling that Warner is done playing football.

If Warner is finished playing, the historical record will show that he was voted to five Pro Bowls, was twice named the league MVP, led two different teams to Super Bowls and won a Super Bowl MVP.

The market for McNabb (who lives in Scottsdale) just got a little deeper.

Maybe work some kind of three way trade the lands McNabb in AZ, Leinart in Seattle, and some draft picks in Philly?

...you know - if NFL teams weren't so stingy about trading.

If Warner retires...there's going to be a drop in value of AZ players unless they get a better QB.

favre will retire tearfully . . . Minny will move on . . . favre will want to come back (cause he is a fun-lovin gunslinger) . . and beg for a release . . and then sign with Arizona to show Minny who is boss . . . . .

Never happen....the Cards don't play GB next year.

All speculations here locally are that the Cards are sticking with Leinart and going to give him a full offseason and preseason to get some solid work with the #1 offense. The organization thinks that he has learned way too much behind Kurt Warner (as well as he's been paid him a lot of $$) and isn't ready to let him go.

There have been numerous rumors about the Cards trading Boldin to the Eagles for McFatt. According to numerous local radio programs - we can scratch McFatt off of the wish list. Cards aren't interested in him (so they say).

Thoguh I'd love to have Boldin on any team, WR is no longer a position of need. I think the Eagles would be better off with Arizona's #1 pick...or perhaps a high #2 if they could get that for Boldin and move it to the Eagles.

When is today's presser?
