hooknladder
T.O. says he'll become "Ocho Uno" if he joins the Bengals Posted by Mike Florio on February 6, 2010 11:00 AM ET Two years ago, Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco spent the bulk of Super Bowl week trying to get himself out of Cincinnati. This time around, Ochocinco has devoted the days leading up to the Super Bowl to bringing Terrell Owens to town. The effort culminated on Friday night in the two players appearing together at the Chad Ochocinco Mansion Party in South Beach on Friday night. Chris Littmann of SportingNews.com was there, and he captured T.O.'s comments on video. "I'm changing my name to Ocho Uno," Owens told the crowd. Before the camera rolled, Owens asked coach Marvin Lewis over the P.A. system whether any of the talk constitutes tampering. If Lewis actually engages Owens in any such discussions, it does. Owens remains under contract to the Buffalo Bills, and while he and Ochocinco can talk all they want about playing together, any effort to involve Bengals officials in the discussion will put the Bengals in line for a tampering charge. hooknladder
Rosenhaus confirms that Bengals are interested in T.O. Posted by Mike Florio on March 6, 2010 11:13 AM ET On Friday morning, we reported that two teams are interested in receiver Terrell Owens. Later in the day, Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reported that one of them is the Bengals. In a Friday night appearance with Bryan McGovern and Gil Brandt of Sirius NFL Radio, agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed that the Bengals are interested in Owens. "Right now I would say that everyone knows that the Cincinnati Bengals have expressed some interest in Terrell and they have spoken with him and myself," Rosenhaus said. "Where we go from here I'm not sure but I think it's at least a positive dialogue. And we represent another great receiver on Cincinnati in Chad Ochocinco who would love to have number 81 as his teammate. And we'll just see how that plays out. But certainly that's something that is a possibility. I guess that's about the most I can say right now." For now, it could be that the Bengals are the only team interested in Owens. Though we don't know the second of the two teams that were interested as of Friday morning, we assume that the Ravens expressed interest in T.O. in the event they swung and missed on Anquan Boldin and Kevin Walter. Now that Boldin is in Baltimore, T.O. probably has fallen off their radar screen.

bpwallace49
Parcells doesnt want to invite Cancer back in to his life TO was on his best behavior last year wasnt he? I would think that his talent would still make him a vaible candidate, along with his newfound attitude adjustment . . . but you are right. I can see why Parcells wouldnt want to take the risk . . Parcells suffered through it when he was the Cowboys coach. While T.O had one of his better years behavior wise last year I still dont think Bill takes that chance. He saw the distraction first hand. BearBroncos
In all honesty, if you could pick between TO and Marshall, who'd you pick? I think if a signing with TO is probable, it's only because they couldn't satisfy a contract with Marshalls agent. Granted, I don't think Cin is willing to part ways with a high draft pick which it would cost them for the trade.

Granted, I don't think Cin is willing to part ways with a high draft pick which it would cost them for the trade. I'm warming up to the idea of BMarshall, but I doubt Mike Brown is. This is a move that you just never see the Bengals make, historicly. It's not as if your first round pick is guarenteed to be a big time player in this league. See Chris Perry and David Pollack for recent proof from the Bengals drafts. With Marshall you have a proven top talent in this league. I know he's had his off the field issues, but Mike Brown has shown time and time again that he could care less about that. You put Marshall opposite Chad and maybe Palmer will start to look like that QB with so much promise back in '05, rather than playing scared, like he looked towards the end of '09.
