I say this in all seriousness........there is a certain attitude (much like you three have just displayed) that comes from those that drink "real beer.' Drinking the high end beers doesn't make you any cooler or more of a man.

Drinking the high end beers doesn't make you any cooler or more of a man. In all seriousness, you threw the first stone with the snob comment. I think you have beer envy. FWIW I drank Alpha King. Which actually does make me cooler. Sadly, not more of a man.
detlef
I say this in all seriousness........there is a certain attitude (much like you three have just displayed) that comes from those that drink "real beer.' Drinking the high end beers doesn't make you any cooler or more of a man. Well, for starters, see below. Nobody talked smack until you did. Secondly, see below. It does not make me more of a man, but it does make me cooler. Why? Because the money I spend on beer neither lines the pockets of a big corporation, nor does it get squandered on SB ads. It gets put directly into the bottle of beer that I am drinking and supports the livelihood of hardworking small businessmen who truly care about their craft. Say nothing of the fact that it actually tastes good and doesn't need to be served ice cold to mask the fact that it is made from the cheapest ingredients imaginable. That is decidedly cooler than subsidizing something patently lame and artificial. Spend any time at all studying beer and you'll learn that basically every innovation that formed the modern day Macro brews were done to reduce cost and speed production. None of them were done to actually improve the product. They pretend to, when they mention "born on dating" and "triple hops brewed" but those are simply window dressing. They are getting over on you and using puppet shows on TV to do so. In all seriousness, you threw the first stone with the snob comment. I think you have beer envy. FWIW I drank Alpha King. Which actually does make me cooler. Sadly, not more of a man.

Drinking the high end beers doesn't make you any cooler or more of a man. Det said it pretty well, but I think to address it directly to MY comment, I don't think it was "beer snobbish" in the least....bottom line was I thought if you dislike beer enough where you have to cut it with tomato juice, just give up the beer. Why bother otherwise?
