Mojo20
Just wondering if anyone heard how he did in his combine workouts. Read a great article on him in the OTL section of espn.com, interesting complex dude. Hope he makes an impact in the NFL
j2v
Rolle measured a shade under 6-2, weighed 215. Ran a 4.68 40 (unofficial, wasn't among the top db's), which was about what was expected and maybe a tad slow for an NFL safety. 21 reps at 225 on the bench (towards the top of the dbs, only 6 of the 52 did more), 10-04 in the broad jump (pretty standard for a db). In position drills he looked fine. Currently has a 4th-5th round grade on most boards, and I don't know that he did anything that would move that grade significantly one way or the other. You'd have to think he fared well on the Wonderlic. 2V

I'd have to think that he comes in pretty high as far as work ethic and intelligence go, which might make up for him being a smidge slower than you'd like. IIRC most safeties are usually in the 4.5-4.6 range anyway so it isn't THAT bad.

His dedication to football. He's made it very clear he wants to pursue a career as a neurosurgeon after football. Is he going to work on his doctorate in the offseason? How is preparing for this career going to affect his football career? 2. He is incredibly smart. But because of this, he does a lot of thinking on the field and might lack some of the football instincts that come naturally to play makers. His response times on the field are a little bit slower because he's thinking it through rather than reacting.

I WAS going to mention that in the initial post - sometimes "smart smarts" don't translate into "football smarts."
muck
Sounds like a guy that could be a killer special teams ace and back up safety.
