DMD
But maybe Jones gets hurt and then Charles can have full run again. Jones signed for $5 million for 2 years - that's really only backup money-ish
Zooty
I knew I should have traded Charles when I had the chance. That's really going to disappoint the guys in my dynasty leagues who thought he was going to be something
i_am_the_swammi
meh. there are so few running backs that own 100% of the rushing duties anywhere in the NFL. Anyone who thought the Chiefs weren't signing someone to share the load was kidding themselves. If anything, it may save Charles some brutal wear and tear. He's still a low-end RB1. Avernus
I'm not too concerned about the KC backfield right now unless the OL improves vastly...

WashingtonD
So i was debating this with an owner in my local league. We were arguing about whether Charles was a legitimate keeper, and he threw back at me "Jones may be a keeper with the KC offensive line" Is the KC offensive line an elite or very good unit? Or is he full of crap?

REZ
I think Jones is being signed as the backup. 31 (32 by next season) year old who had over 300 regular season carries and 35-40 in playoffs. Anybody else get the feeling he's being signed as short yardage/td vulture?
muck
He's had quite a career for a near-bust.

You know Jones is right at the edge of that RB cliff, but..... Edited March 10, 2010 by BeeR
bushwacked
When was the last time a 32 year old RB got the majority of carries on his team?
DMD
Jones would be perfect for just 4 or 5 carries each game - all of them near the goal line.

ts
Jones would be perfect for just 4 or 5 carries each game - all of them near the goal line. Since we are talking about the Chiefs here, I'm guessing that you understand 3 or 4 of those 5 "goal line" carries per game will be near his OWN goal line, right?
