hooknladder
has anyone heard if this is true?? if so the implications for Poz are not good.
kpholmes
From George Edwards: "Defensively, we will start from a 3-4 alignment," said Edwards. "But we will do what we feel is best for our players. We are not going to give anything away about exactly what we will do, but personnel will dictate what you can and what you can't do. As far as the initial alignment, the 3-4 is what we will start off with and we will adjust from there." Come on Poz... WMLB...
Tford
If I had to guess, I'd say Poz plays MIKE and Kawika Mitchell plays TED. Mitchell has a good 15-20 pounds on Poz and is probably better suited to take on a guard every other play rather than Poz. The biggest hits to IDP value from this scheme change come from two guys; Bryan Scott and Aaron Schobel. Bryan Scott was a stud DB last year when he kept safety eligibility while putting up quality numbers from the WILL linebacker position. Scott has no chance to survive inside much less outside in a 3-4. And with a logjam already at safety between Jairus Byrd, Donte Whitner, George Wilson and Scott, all BUF safeties probably cannibalize each other's value. Aaron Schobel; see Aaron Kampman last year. FloydofRosedale
so is this going to more or less successful then their switch to a "wide open spread offense" that the bills were suppose to put in last year?
wolfer
Edwards won't tip his hand until after the draft. The Bills do not have a lot of pieces in place to run a 3-4. Ugh what a mess right now. Poz is Poz, look what DJ Williams did in Denver last year. The switch can work out just fine.
kpholmes
The signing of Davis is a HUGH sigh of relief for Poz owners, as he will surely play the TED and let Paul stay at MIKE to put up Willis/RayRay like numbers.
