CaP'N GRuNGe
Not sure what good a move like this is for the Rams. It's not as if they are close to a playoff team and McNabb is not exactly young.
Azazello1313
puzzling move for both teams, if you ask me

It's not as if they are close to a playoff team and McNabb is not exactly young. I am guessing its his team for two years until Bradford is ready to roll, assuming they do indeed draft him. Besides, having McNabb and SJax in the backfield isn't all that bad.
i_am_the_swammi
puzzling move for both teams, if you ask me How so for the Eagles? They grab, basically, a #1 pick, and a Pro Bowl-caliber safety to fill a glaring hole and replace Dawkins....for a QB who's time had passed here in this city, who they would have lost for nothing after this coming season, and who was blocking the development of their future, Kevin Kolb. wiegie
As a Rams fan, I say that nothing surprises me anymore, but I'm not sure how this makes too much sense.
Big Country
Yahoo report says nothing has been agreed to and that offer is only for the pick, no mention of Atogwe. Also says that reports have the Raiders and Bills also possibly making offers.

I haven’t talked to Philadelphia about any of their players.” Another Rams source said of the Eagles, “They may have a trade offer, but not from us. Why would we trade for McNabb and then go watch Bradford throw on Monday?” Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford, whom the Rams are considering with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, has his pro day on Monday. Atogwe currently cannot be traded since he’s not under contract. He was given the lowest possible tender as a restricted free agent, but has not signed that tender. Zooty
What a joke. I'm listening to the NFL on Sirius on my way to work at 8:15 and Peter King is talking about what the Eagles could do with their QBs. He suggests this exact trade. Word for word. So either some Philly writer is taking something and running with it or King knew something no one else did and accidentally let the cat out of the bag. I'm guessing the former, not the latter. Zooty
Personally I liked the rumor from yesterday. Two 1sts from CLE for Kolb. This one isn't bad either. Too bad both are better than the trade they will ultimately pull off.
Zooty
King has become synonymous with bullsh1t and i'll add PHI radio to the list. agree King was just speculating. Philly radio on the other hand is a joke. I would never report anything I hear them say unless its a fact
Delicious_bass
agree King was just speculating. Philly radio on the other hand is a joke. I would never report anything I hear them say unless its a fact Its not just Philly radio. A lot of the media now are no-talent hacks who throw out endless speculation in hopes they will eventually hit. Being reputable and accurate have taken a back seat to being first and it sickens me. And its not limited to just bloggers and small-timers. ESPN is as bad(or worse) than anyone. Ed Werder (in particular) should be ashamed of himself

I'd rather know about every single trade talk that might have gone down, rather than just listen to them report the outcome. makes life a lot more interesting when we can discuss the "what ifs", dontcha think? Cowboyz1
The Eagles should trade the bum. He is no more good there anyhow. On the second thought keep him, it will make winning the division that much easier. Eagles are on the down swing and I can't think of a better way to get the ball rolling faster then to create some confusion with the fans and brass while shaking up the locker room a bit. Go Philly, Go shake that tree..........
Menudo
Imagine the hoopla if we had a rapist as a QB O.k., now it isn't quite as fun. It did make me think of a funny sequence from Jeopardy on SNL: Alex Trebek: "Sean Connery, please pick a category" Sean Connery: "It looks like the day is mine. I'll take the Rapists for 200" Trebek: "That is 'Therapists', not 'The Rapists'
