Shorttynaz
I don't understand what's so wrong with taking a cab. Because taking a cab doesn't help your "street cred".
Duchess Jack
And another one! I am sure someone will be along shortly to say its no big deal, though. That it could happen to any guy at any time so we really shouldnt worry about it that's kind of disingenuous. in the Ronnie thread - people were defending him for 2 reasons: 1) because you lumped him in with a bunch of bad eggs and 2) because the details hadn't come out yet so it was unclear just how poor his judgement was. When the info came out - you kind of crowed a bit like you knew the entire story all along - but the fact was, until then none of us knew the context of things. This left folk to judge him for the person he has been for the team and the community. Nobody was saying that drunk driving was no big deal. I know that I personally was waiting until I heard the whole story. in this case... 1) Porter is on the board of the bad eggs 2) the whole story is less important because this is pretty much in line with who this guy is. kinda of toolish to drop the rolling of the eye greamlin like there is some huge wave of people here who think DUI is no big deal. I know - me personally - I was just defending what I know of him and stated that one stupid mistake should not over-ride the person as a whole. When the truth about how tanked he was came out - I suggested that they should take his license. Contrary to whatever is in your head that motivated you to make this about other people rather than Porter - you are not in the minority in thinking that DUI is wrong, stupid and dangerous Edited March 28, 2010 by Duchess Jack

Contrary to whatever is in your head that motivated you to make this about other people rather than Porter - you are not in the minority in thinking that DUI is wrong, stupid and dangerous Re-read what I wrote in the Ronnie thread. I lumped him in with the growing number of athletes/celebs that (despite their means) drink, drive, and get busted. You would think after so many had been caught and gone through all the hassle that others would learn to avoid it. I guess these athletes/celebs are really not that smart. And yes, I crowed a little bit because I was right all along. Because my point all along was (whether Ronnie Brown had 2 drinks or 2 dozen) he had no excuse for not setting up a sober ride. None. Nada. Zilch. I cant believe you are still arguing this with me. The guy is a multi-millionaire and he knew he was going out drinking. I didnt need to wait for details to pass judgement that the guy is a complete fool for even taking the chance. Why is this so difficult for you to understand? Shorttynaz
I don't understand what's so wrong with taking a cab. I don't understand what's so bad about hitting a cop. Didn't he realize that he pulled over THE Joey Porter?
