Shorttynaz
Doesn't really make any sense?? Rackers is (well, was) a free agent. After Seabas was given an outrageous contract by the grim reaper in Oakland, Rackers wanted to be paid similarly to Seabas. I heard on a local radio show today that the Cardinals offered him $2.3M per, yet Rackers wanted more. I don't know if there is any truth to that or not, but that's what I was lead to believe. So what's Rackers do? He turns down the Cardinals offer and it was believed that he was asking for more. The Cardinals in turn go out and sign Feely, so what's Rackers do? Signs with the Texans for less money than what the Cardinals offered - and now not even guaranteed a job as he's going to be "competing" with Kris Brown. Oops! This (to me) makes NO sense, unless I'm missing something. Edited April 6, 2010 by Shorttynaz
BearBroncos
There was no way in hell the Card's were going to pay that kind of money for a kicker that had a less than stellar 2009 season. But, that's what today's players do. They listen to their agents versus reality which inevitably, burnt him.
