So what's next? Sending Clady to New England for a 2017 3rd rounder and a ham sammich? Bailey to Dallas for a case of Lone Star and a bag of chips?

McDumbass & crew have shredded what was a solid core just to stroke their own egos. When they are fired in a couple of years, they'll leave DEN fans with a hollow shell of a football team.

Well, at least he was a 'genius' for the first six games!

I was hoping the Fins would get Marshall or Dez Bryant, we needed a big time playmaker at the WR position. Thank you Tuna for growing some balls and making a move. I'm liking the Fins offseason so far.

I wonder if Bill will refer to him as "the player"?

Great move for the Phins...Brown and Williams have to like what the double-coverage of Marshall will mean to opening up more holes for the already-potent run game. Both should thrive catching more balls out of the backfield, too, as they run routes into areas Marshall has cleared out.

You can blame him for alienating Marshall, but two 2nd round picks seems like pretty good value compared to the other WR trades this offseason.

Especially considering everyone and their dog knew Marshall was going to be traded before the season started.

How does it compare to the Roy Williams trade? Marshall may be a headache, but he is also a solid contributor to charities (silent contributor), most notably to keep kids from joining gangs - which he has sunk a ton of his own money and time into. He's not the complete a-hole some would have you believe he is.

Just because PIT junked Holmes - who is already going to misss at least 25% of the season and is sitting on the precipice of a 1 year benching - doesn't mean DEN got a good return for as dynamic a WR as Marshall. There's virtually no way they'll find anyone close to capable of filling in what they lost.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports Marshall will get $50 million over the next five years as part of a four-year, $47 million extension tacked on to his scheduled $2.5 million salary in 2010.

Paid, happy Marshall = more productive or less? Yes, he is happier, but he is also not working for his next contract any more.

Either way, as a henne dynasty owner, I am extremely happy with the move...

I was thinking more of Boldin than Holmes. The Broncos weren't going to pay him, so two high picks seems like a good value for the situation, no? It might not necessarily match the value of the player.

what are you unsure about?

You think a guy punting footballs during practice last year would play regardless of money? I wasn't sure if you were cracking a joke or what. I thought he only played for Mcdaniels after they had there little make up session (and I assume McD told him he wouldn't franchise him if he played hard all year).

I agree, This move jumps all of Miami's players up the fantasy rankings. Brown and Williams had great years last year when eveyone knew they were getting the ball. Now with a legit pass catcher the skies the limit for their offense.

As opposed to the powerhouse DEN was when they got here right?

Marshall isn't Vick-level slime, but he's an ahole who's one more stupid move away from suspension or who knows what, charities or no. Add that he's been pissing and moaning w/DEN and they were lucky to get him on the field last year....and now they get two 2d round picks? That aint freakin bad at all and you're crazy if you think that was a "giveaway."

This aint softball boy.

Let's see: The NFL record holder for receptions in a game. One season from being the NFL record holder for career consecutive seasons with 100+ catches (will tie Harrison if he gets there next year). He's damned near impossible to tackle if he gets into the open field, and he's a QB's best friend with his size/strength/plucking-the-ball/willing-to-accept-contact characteristics. And he'll be all of 26 yrs old at the end of the season - even if MIA were to win the SB.

This is one of those once-in-a-generation type players. Unless McDildo is a drafting genius (and there's no evidence so far that he's anything but a McDunce) there's no way they'll get even remotely equivalent value for Marshall with 2 2nd rounders. Some players surpass being traded away because their talent is so exceptional. Marshall has all the earmarks of being one of those guys - and he's got another decade to play the game if he wants to (and he grows up in the way he treats women).

And as far as DEN and its condition when McDicknose got here? Well, despite Shanahan's shortcomings - and they were myriad, as I've pointed out numerous times - he never once lost to OAK & KC teams at home in the same season. McDilwad managed to do that in his first year despite both those teams being dog-butt ugly bottom 5 NFL teams. DEN arguably was the worst team in the NFL in the last 10 games of the season.

I have to agree. Moss had his run ins, and isn't just about every elite WR have some sort of baggage? Marshall has special talent. Granted, Marshall has to pay the airlines for the extra 3 suitcases, but he can change a team's entire offense, he's that good. And Henne and Miami really needed a weapon in the passing game. He will help open things up for every other part of their offense.
