Most insane rumor I've heard so far

It's all the rage on ESPN radio this morning and I can't fathom why this would happen.

Why is this even being discussed? How freaking stupid would that be? If a team went Bradford at 1 and then came back and went with McCoy in the 2nd, they'd be laughed out of NY. But this is essentially what they're doing by trading their 2nd this year for a QB and then taking another with the 1st, saying nothing of what they'd have to give up to move a spot (which, logically shouldn't be much at all but for some reason is).

Is Bradford such a "can't miss" talent that it would be worth spending your 1st two picks on the QB position. Not to mention paying a kid mad jack to ride the pine for at least a couple years. Mind you, it's a nice luxury to take a highly rated QB and not have to throw him into the mix right away, but it's a luxury that is a hell of a lot more affordable if you can get a guy at the end of the 1st or later like Philly and GB did recently. Hell, it's a luxury that might be worth the price tag if you happen to already be a play-off team who just happens to own a crappy team's 1st pick.

This, of course, says nothing of the fact that they sorely need an OT and there are several good ones that they could grab at #4.

maybe the Skins will trade Haynesworth to Detroit and swap picks if the Rams do not take Bradford?

That doesn't change the fact that they will have then spent their first two picks on QB. When is the last time that happened? Oh, and given how much they've already paid Haynesworth, he's a relative bargain going forward. And, whether or not he has yet to do what they thought he would, it's not like the team is better without him. So, throwing him in just makes the deal even more insane.

Bradford's profootball camp was EXTREMELY impressive and have allot of teams thinking this kid could be a top 10 caliber QB by no later than year 2.

Do you think any team who drafts a QB at #1 and then throws $50+ million his way simply hopes the kid may be OK? I mean, I get it, if you need a qb, then you've got to take your chances and hope that this year's darling is truly worth the hype. However, there's far too much history on the side of the opposite being true. Now, once again, having McNabb at the helm for a couple years and allowing the kid to tote a clip-board for a few years certainly improves his chances of being great. However, that doesn't change the fact that you've failed to actually address a position of need.

the skins have the look of a team that is directionless right now.

What do you mean, right now? The skins became directionless the moment Snyder took the reins. All he does is throw mad jack at any name thinking that just paying for talent should get him a SB win. That is why they currently have McNabb. Do you honestly think that the Eagles would have traded him within the division if there was anything there they really had to worry about? I put nothing past Snyder at this point, I could see him trying to grab Bradford. Or perhaps Shanny thinks he can nab another Elway to ride to a SB win.

You're kidding I hope-? It's ESPN. They are a joke. How is this not news? Anything to stir people up and get them listening.

When McNabb was traded to the Skins one of the reasons I remember reading on why would they trade him to a divisional foe was to keep Washington from actually making a play for Bradford...not sure how true or not that it but it is but I read what I read.

that actually makes sense - and it would make them seem a little less classless - as I am still pissed by how all of that went down.

guy takes you to 5 AFC championship games after you boo when he is drafted - only to be traded to a division opponent (which shows you how they feel about him) so he can be booed again and have batteries thrown at him when he visits Philly.

Man - I like that orginization - but I can't get past how much they disrespected him
