detlef
Busiest night ever for this young restaurant. It was a perfect storm. Wicked is playing at the Performing Arts Center down the street so it's been busy early all the time these days. So, we fill the whole restaurant up right at 5:30, then they all get up for the show and the madness really begins. Everyone seemed to have a great time. twiley
I tend to avoid the cinco de mayo festivities. I just can't handle all the woo girls singing "we are family" while they order another round of "margs".
frankf
A little mexican restaurant here had 25 cent tacos and 49 cent margaritas, man was this place packed.

Unless "here" is actually in Mexico, I can't imagine how that worked out well for them. They had to be losing their ass on both and I can't imagine anyone ordering anything but, so there goes your loss leader.

Gotta say though, there was some crazy talent in the house that night and all of them unescorted. There was literally 5-6 tables of 6-8 really cute college girls, all dressed to party. All coming in at roughly the same time. So, at one point, about 1/3 of my restaurant was full of tables containing nothing but hot college girls. I couldn't help but wonder how every guy at Duke didn't figure out where they all were. I sure as hell know that we would have back in the day. Back in my single days we'd hit up the "singles" Mexican restaurant bar all the time for this exact reason. You'd sit back and wait for the frozen margaritas to kick in with all the woo girls then make a move. It was like shooting fish in a barrel after their third or fourth pitcher of papaya mango frozen margaritas Edited May 9, 2010 by twiley
