The Associated Press announced Monday that it will conduct a re-vote for the 2009 Defensive Player of the Year award, citing previous winner Brian Cushing's violation of the NFL's policy on PEDs.

Gotta figure it's between Byrd and Matthews now.

Houston Texans LB Brian Cushing tested positive for slightly elevated levels of hCG, a non-steroidal substance produced naturally by the body, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, via Twitter. It is in seminal fluid and slightly elevated levels can be discovered in the event that a test occurs soon after ejaculation.

sounds alot like Spawn, which makes you produce hormones "naturally". Once chemicals like Spawn get deemed illegal, then they just tweek the formula a little and call it a different name until it gets banned, and then repeat the process.

Texans outside linebacker Brian Cushing retained his Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year Award on Wednesday.

Cushing kept the award despite being suspended four games last week for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy. A panel of 50 writers and broadcasters who cover the league made the decision in an unprecedented revote that concluded at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

In the revote, Cushing received 18 votes to finish ahead of Buffalo safety Jairus Byrd (13).

In the original voting at the end of the season, Cushing was a landslide winner with 39 of the 50 votes. Byrd was second with six votes.

Green Bay linebacker Clay Matthews III got 10. Washington linebacker Brian Orakpo earned three votes, and St. Louis linebacker James Laurinaitis got one.

Three voters were not available to cast ballots, and two voters abstained.
