detlef
Eat local or die Dude, I don't think the local farmers need this kind of support.
driveby
Jason French, owner of Ned Ludd, a Portland restaurant that also emphasizes all local food, said if anything he blames the melee on chefs, egos and lots of alcohol. there ya go.
Azazello1313
somebody ought to stick a non-local eel up that chef's arse next time he passes out drunk.* Edited May 20, 2010 by Azazello1313
detlef
FWIW, I agree so much as it would seem appropriate that this whole pig cook off use local pigs and, if need be, only happen in places where dudes are raising tasty pigs. That's pretty much where I get off in terms of having this guy's back and can imagine that there would be more effective ways of getting that point across besides a boot to the head. Kid Cid
I chalk it up to him being a bad drunk. He may have a decent point about using local produce and meats but there is no reason for a discussion on the issue to turn violent. Even if it is in a strip club after 2 AM on a hard drinking day.
