Marlin Jackson Injured

Recommended Posts

FFChamps) Safety-Marlin Jackson injured his Achilles Tendon during the Philadelphia Eagle's OTAs earlier today. Jackson was covering WR Jeremy Maclin on a deep play across the middle of the field when he fell down. The Eagles haven't announced anything official regarding Jackson's return this season, but some predict the injury will keep him out all year. Analysis: Jackson signed with the Eagles this off-season and was expected to play a big role in their pass defense, which ranked 17th in 2009.

(TheHuddle) Updating a previous item, Philadelphia Eagles FS Marlin Jackson (Achilles') will miss the 2010 season with a ruptured right Achilles' tendon, reports ESPN.com. Jackson had to be taken off the field Tuesday, June 1, in a cart.

Bump Nate Allen wayyy up in rookie drafts.

maybe in deeper leagues....Mikel should still be the S to own for fantasy purposes on the birds...and that was even if Jackson didn't get hurt

Edit: Allen ran with the 1st and 3rd string units today: http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/moving_...l#axzz0pj27d12n

 Aren't all leagues that have rookie drafts "deeper" to begin with?

But yeah, Mikell is obviously the DB to own on the Eagles... but a starting safety on an aggressive D like Philly's should be owned in IDP/dynasty formats.

not really but I get what you are saying....I have been in some 10 and 12 team leagues in the past that only had 3 round rook drafts but here at the huddle the majority of IDP leagues probably do fall into the deeper category.

I'm in a 12-team dynasty league (AFL) but we go 8 rounds... never been in a league with that few rookie rounds. In those cases, yeah... Allen would probably be an afterthought. But in an 8-round rookie draft, he should be considered.

In fact, he went 7.06 (#78 overall) in AFL, and is probably a 6th or 5th round talent after the Jackson news, IMO.
