detlef
So, we finally have some beers that we've aged long enough to warrant putting the reserve list together. So we coupled them with some of our more exotic beers (which will result in pairing down the regular list to make it look less daunting) and are putting out a reserve list. There are several more beers downstairs that will ultimately get added but they haven't aged long enough to be worth it. Like we just got our 2010 edition of the Immort but we'll wait on that. We're also holding back some of all the older stuff to build verticals. Here it is so far... (the undescribed are waiting for later tonight when we fire them all open for a test drive) Wild Ales- Brewed with Brettanomyces and/or wild yeasts and known to be tangy or even sour. Jolly Pumpkin “Oro de Calabaza” Ale (Michigan) (750ml) 18 Rich but clean with notes of spice and pepper. Allagash Confluence 2009 (Maine) (750ml) 30 A beautiful and delicate expression of the tangy nature of wild ales. Very, very impressive. La Chouffe “Big Chouffe” (Belgium) (1500ml) 2006 35 A huge bottle of deliciously spiced ale. Be a hero today. Victory V12 Ale (Pennsylvania) (750) 2009 15 Recently tasted against the 2010 and 2007, most agreed that this one was in the wheel-house Stouts Terrapin Dark Star Belgian-Style Imperial Stout (Gorgia) (22oz) 2009 … Highland Imperial Black Mocha Stout (North Carolina) (22oz) 2008 … Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout (California) 2009 … Old Rasputin Oak Aged Russian Imperial Stout Edition XI (California) (500ml) 30 Massive, just massive.
