SpinalTapp
Plaxico Burress reapplies for work release By Matt De Lima, Saturday, July 3, 2010 11:53:51 AM CDT Former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress is nine months into a two-year prison sentence for a felony gun conviction. He is seeking a work release, meaning he could be set free from prison and work with anti-gun violence groups to promote more responsibility when handling guns or avoiding them altogether. The results of Burress' second work release will not be known for several weeks, but officials within Giants' organization fully support Burress' pursuit in seeking to get his life put back together. Fantasy Analysis: Unfortunately for Burress, the Giants have moved on. Furthermore, Burress is 32 years old. It remains to be seen what Burress has left in the tank but considering it will be at least one full year away from the game. The Giants would seem most likely to give him a tryout, but they may not need him or the potential bad press. For a position like wide receiver which requires so much speed and agility, it would likely be difficult for Burress to pick up right where he left off, which was one of most game-breaking wideouts in the game. New York already has Steve Smith, Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham. If Burress can't compete for one of those top spots, he might need to seek employment elsewhere in order to see the I (Tap) bring it up because this could be a fun story to watch this summer if he actually gets his work release. Perhaps McNabb will be throwing to Burress and TO this fall. Just the kind of dumb thing Synder would do. Jackass
He's served enough time. They should let him out IMO.
BeeR
lmao @ "work with anti-gun violence groups." He'd be as believable as Vick working with animal rights groups. word
