Former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress is nine months into a two-year prison sentence for a felony gun conviction. He is seeking a work release, meaning he could be set free from prison and work with anti-gun violence groups to promote more responsibility when handling guns or avoiding them altogether.
